Patient presents card at the pharmacy
Patient presents their AstraZeneca Authentics Prescription Savings Card at the pharmacy along with their prescription. The card will cover up to the difference in cost between the AstraZeneca branded medication* and the generic alternative.
Depending on the benefit type and patient’s existing coverage, the card will pay all or some of the Manufacturer’s List Price (MLP), Usual & Customary (U&C) mark-up and/or dispensing fee. Some limitations exist for residents of Quebec. Please see www.ramq.gouv.qc.ca for more information.
The prescription savings card is designed to provide the user with specific offerings. The user may still be responsible for additional costs not covered by their free prescription savings card. Availability varies by province and territory. Individual programs may change or end at the manufacturer’s discretion.
Remind Patients
Remind patients to ask the pharmacy staff for the AstraZeneca branded medication they’ve been prescribed every time they go back for a refill.
- Savings Card can be used with existing drug plans or on its own.
- Coordinates with private and public insurance plans, including those that only cover generic medications.
